What are the benefits of becoming a member of LQG?

There are numerous benefits to becoming a member:

  • You are able to book for seminars and conferences in advance of non members, often before the event is marketed.
  • The rate charged for an evening seminar is 50% off a non member rate.
  • The cost of the Autumn and Spring conferences will also be significantly less than for a non member.
  • Presentation slides and associated papers are available to members only, even if you were unable to attend the original presentation.
  • You are able to use the forum for discussion about Quantitative and related topics, even start a discussion yourself.
  • You can also send messages to other members.
  • You could also become invovled in London Quant Group, taking an active role influencing the topics for presentations.
  • It is the members that elect the London Quant Group Management Committee.

How do I book for an event in advance?

Advance bookings are available to members only.

If you want to book an event in advance, you need to go to the bookings plage.If nothing is showing, then there is currently no events available for advanced bookings. You should come back soon and check for any updates.

How do I become a member and how much does it cost?

To become a member, you should complete the registration form and tick the box to join as a member. Your name will go before the Management Committee. If you are accepted as a member you will then be notified. When you have paid your annual fees, you will then become a full member. Membership fees are £400 plus VAT. If you are a full time academic or 26 or under, membership fees are £200 plus VAT.

I see that you use Paypal- what if I don't have a Paypal account?

Paypal is used as the payment processor- they provide facilities to pay by both credit card or Paypal. When you get to the paypal payment page, look on the left hand side of the page for details on paying by credit card. By using Paypal as a payment processor we do not need to collect credit card details.
